Specialty & Industrial Gases

UniField began working in the field of Industrial Gases by executing hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen handling projects for petroleum refiners and chemical producers, while our first Specialty Gas projects were for a U.S. silane producer. Over time, Unifield's presence grew in the Specialty Gas market to support West Coast micro-electronics and major gas companies with design of supply systems for gases such as boron trifluoride, nitrous oxide, propylene oxide and silane. In its history, UniField has designed truck loading, bulk storage and distribution systems for liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen, as well as installation of air separation plants for gas companies. Our service approach is to deliver high engineering quality and efficiency on every project.

While UniField brings a wealth of gas handling and process knowledge to a project, we are first and foremost a projects firm – one that is focused on delivering sound return on client investment. Owners rely on our thorough and accurate front end execution and cost estimating to assist them in both annual capital and major project budgeting. Our engineers are well versed in the latest design standards, system designs, safety systems and operating procedures. UniField’s full-service staff has the experience and ability to complete all facets of process, electrical, mechanical and civil/structural design of small projects as well as major unit upgrades and green field installations.

 

In addition to engineers and designers, we have a full-time staff of procurement, scheduling and construction management specialists - enabling UniField to assume full engineering responsibility for your project through startup. On major projects, our typical contracting approach is as the owner’s EPCM agent, wherein UniField holds engineering responsibility for the project from study through startup. For small capital projects, we most often team with the owner’s staff to achieve a flexible, low-cost delivery.
